# Young Actors Summer Institute The Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI) is Trinity Repertory Company's summer theater program, held each July at the Tony Award-winning theater in downtown Providence. Running since 2005, YASI is taught by Trinity Rep's resident artists, education staff, and local teaching artists, and offers dedicated week-long tracks for high school students alongside its younger divisions. ## What You'll Do - Choose week-long, full-day teen intensives such as Casting Call (audition skills), Improv & Comedy, Dice & Drama, and One Act for grades 9-12 - Rehearse scenes, monologues, and ensemble work in Trinity Rep's professional spaces - Train with members of the theater's resident acting company and education team - Share your work in end-of-week performances for family and friends ## Who Should Apply Students entering grades 9-12 who want serious, playful acting training — from first-time performers to experienced student actors. Teen sessions in 2026 run weekly from July 6 through July 31 and cost $450-$475 per week; a $50 deposit holds a spot, and financial aid and payment plans are available through education@trinityrep.com. ## Outcomes Participants build audition-ready skills, stage confidence, and ensemble experience inside a professional regional theater, and finish each week with performance credits and connections to Trinity Rep's year-round education programs.
