# Frist Art Museum Teen Film Camp Teen Film Camp is a one-week summer filmmaking intensive at the Frist Art Museum in downtown Nashville, produced in partnership with the Nashville Film Festival. During the 2026 session (July 13–17, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. daily), a class of about 20 rising 10th–12th graders works in small production teams to take an original short film from concept to premiere in five days, learning from experienced industry professionals. ## What You'll Do - Develop a film concept, script, and shot list with your production team - Learn on-set production roles and acting fundamentals - Shoot a five-minute short film using professional equipment - Edit your footage in post-production - Premiere the finished film at the Teens Take the Frist! event on July 18, 2026 ## Who Should Apply Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who love making films — no prior production credits required, just serious interest. The 2026 camp costs $475 for Frist Art Museum and Nashville Film Festival members or $525 for non-members, plus a $50 application fee, and financial assistance is available. The 2026 session is currently full, with a waitlist open for spots that free up; the camp runs each summer. ## Outcomes Campers leave with a completed five-minute short film that premieres publicly at the museum, hands-on experience across writing, production, acting, and editing, and connections to Nashville Film Festival industry mentors.
