# Wolverine Pathways Wolverine Pathways is the University of Michigan's free, year-round college-readiness partnership with families in Detroit, Southfield, Ypsilanti, and Grand Rapids. Students join in 7th or 10th grade and continue through senior year, pairing their regular schooling with sustained U-M enrichment, project-based learning, and college guidance. ## What You'll Do - Participate in year-round college-preparatory enrichment sessions led through the University of Michigan - Build academic skills through project-based learning and receive ongoing guidance on the path to college - Continue in the program from your entry year through 12th grade by maintaining strong academic performance and consistent attendance - Connect with U-M faculty, staff, and a cohort of scholars from your district ## Who Should Apply Students who live within the Detroit Public Schools, Ypsilanti Community Schools, or Southfield Public Schools districts (plus the program's Grand Rapids site). Ninth-grade applicants need an overall GPA of 3.2 and an academic GPA of 3.0 in core courses to join the 10th-grade cohort. The program is free; the most recent southeast Michigan application cycle closed February 28, 2026, and the next cycle is expected in the following school year. ## Outcomes Scholars complete high school with years of university-led academic enrichment, a sustained relationship with the University of Michigan, and structured support through the college application process.
