# Reynolds Young Writers Workshop The Reynolds Young Writers Workshop is Denison University's ten-day residential summer program for high school writers, held on its Granville, Ohio campus for more than 25 years. Students write across genres - fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction - in an intimate, workshop-centered community led by practicing writers. ## What You'll Do - Join a daily small morning workshop limited to 12 students - Write and revise across fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction - Attend readings, craft sessions, and community events with faculty writers - Live on Denison's campus (on-campus residency is required) and share work in an anthology culture that dates back decades ## Who Should Apply Students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of high school by June of the program year (the program does not admit current ninth graders or graduating seniors). There is no application fee; applications require a recommendation from an English teacher or counselor and typically close in early March (March 3 in 2026). ## Outcomes Participants leave with polished new work, workshop experience directly modeled on college creative writing seminars, and a community of peer writers. The $1,700 fee covers tuition, housing, and meals, and generous need-based assistance is available through the Reynolds Endowment.
