# Girls Who Code Clubs Girls Who Code Clubs are free, flexible computer science programs that run during the school year at schools, libraries, universities, and community organizations - or entirely online. The 6th-12th grade track uses self-guided video tutorials so members can learn multiple coding languages and explore emerging tech topics at their own pace, while the separate 3rd-5th grade track covers CS foundations. Facilitators are teachers, librarians, parents, and volunteers, many with no technical background, so clubs can launch almost anywhere. ## What You'll Do - Work through hands-on coding activities and self-guided tutorials tuned to your experience level - Explore the updated curriculum, including an AI Literacy Unit built on Teachable Machine and Intro to Coding courses in a block-based editor - Build projects that connect computing to problems you care about - Join a supportive, sisterhood-style community of peers and role models ## Who Should Apply Clubs are free and open to students of any skill level; the core track serves grades 6-12, making this one of the most accessible ways for middle school girls (and allies - clubs welcome all students) to start computer science. Join an existing club at your school or ask an educator to apply to start one. ## Outcomes Members finish with real coding projects, AI literacy, and a peer network, and can continue into Girls Who Code's summer and college-age programs. There is no cost and no application deadline - clubs launch and enroll year-round.
